Benefact Trust awards grant to Wellsprings Together
Wellsprings Together awarded £25,000 grant from Benefact Trust
Wellsprings Together is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a £25,000 grant over three years from the Benefact Trust to support two part-time posts: around Community Engagement & Parish Engagement (Youth Specialism).
This investment comes at a crucial time. Across our communities there is a growing need to reignite cohesion, build bridges across difference, and reimagine church as a lived expression of Christ’s compassion, justice, and hope. Rooted in Isaiah 61:1 – “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor…” – this project seeks to see the Church as Jesus in action: binding up the brokenhearted, walking alongside others, and empowering young people and communities to flourish.
Through this funding we will:
- Deliver wellbeing, inclusion, and employability programmes using trauma-informed and asset-based approaches.
- Strengthen partnerships with churches, VCSEs, local authorities, boards, and interfaith networks.
- Launch and expand youth leadership and employability initiatives
- Support churches to connect discipleship, social action, and mission through the Growing Better Together programme.
This support will enable us to extend our work into Huddersfield and Wakefield Episcopal Areas, ensuring that more parishes and young people are equipped to become outward-facing, confident in the gospel, and rooted in community transformation.
We give thanks to the Benefact Trust for their partnership and generosity and look forward to seeing the fruit of this work in the years to come.
