VACANCY: DEVELOPMENT WORKER - West Yorkshire and the Dales

Do you have practical experience of asset-based community development and project management?

Wellsprings Together is an exciting joint venture between the Anglican Diocese of Leeds and the Church Urban Fund. Our purpose is to grow the number of churches working with their communities and other faith groups to address poverty and be good neighbours.

Our vision

  • Enable churches to make a greater contribution to the social and spiritual transformation of communities
  • Support churches and faith-based organisations’ response to poverty and marginalisation – through direct funding, development work and infrastructure support.
  • Enable churches to influence and shape social and economic policy
We are looking for someone with passion and imagination who has the ability to communicate this vision and develop a movement of people tackling poverty together.

You must have excellent communication skills, an ability to develop relationships with a wide range of people, experience of working with faith-based organisations and an understanding of the issues and impact of poverty and deprivation.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 pro rata (20 hours per week over three days)

Contract: Permanent following successful three-month probationary period (subject to funding, currently in place for two years)
