Covid 19 1600 900

COVID-19 Information

Information gathered from a range of sources which we hope will be of relevance to our partners across the area covered by the Anglican Diocese of Leeds. This includes the episcopal areas and districts of Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Ripon.

Keep in touch

We have noted that there is concern about the availability of food and other essentials for distribution by foodbanks and others. There is also likely to be a shortage of volunteers either through illness of self-isolation.

Hopefully, through the kindness and generosity of local people we can balance the provision of critical support while preventing the spread of the virus. The coordination of available resources and effort is a challenge but local organisations including the council are stepping forward to do what they can within their own specialisms and networks.

Stories of Hope

What are the extraordinary acts of kindness and generosity are we seeing? What compassionate and imaginative ideas have you seen?

There can be a positive legacy from the COVID-19 experience and we may look back and see it as a turning point in our awareness of isolation and those in ongoing need.

Wellsprings Together in partnership with the Diocese of Leeds and the Together Network will be keeping an eye out for those inspirational people and ideas that are making a difference through this challenge

Please engage with our social media channels and be a hope spreader not a virus spreader.
